PROCEDURE
I. Check all drawing following standard.
II. Change if not following standard.

LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION





GENERAL
1 All equipments used shall be of SYABAS approved model/brand.
2 LT Instrument used shall be using 24 VDC power supply.
3 LT Junction Box is arranged according to approved drawing.
4 All unused holes are fitted with rubber/silicone seals and not loose.
5 Cleanliness of equipment. Should be free from dust, rust and corrosion.

CABLING
1 Signal cables shall be 1.5mmsq. Screen cable shall be connected at earth
point at the RTU Panel or Junction Box.
2 Signal cables are properly labelled.
3 All cables shall be arranged properly and neatly. All connection shall be tight
and not loose.
4 All armoured cables leaving/coming to enclosure shall be properly fitted with
gland ring and connected to earth point.

EARTHING
1 Lightning arrestor (LPU Cat 3) shall be connected to earth point and earth
cable shall be 4.0mmsq.
2 All earth cables inside panel shall be 2.5mmsq and main earth cable shall be
6.0mmsq.

Functionality Test

Figure : Shows auto reset at ELCB

OBJECTIVE: All equipment on RTU panel can be operating well.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Turn ON MCB1 and ELCB to test trip at the ELCB.

(For panel using TNB supply, test auto reset after push trip button at the ELCB. Auto reset can turn ON back ELCB after two minutes.

  1. Turn ON MCB2 for:

· Door Switch

· Fluorescent Lamp

· AC Socket (Use alternatives, for example plug in laptop.)

· Make sure all function.

  1. Turn ON MCB3 for:

· I/O modules

· Set voltage at battery charger 27.05V.


Continuity Test

PROCEDURE:

  1. Turn ON ELCB, MCB1, MCB2, MCB3 and MCB4.
  2. Using multimeter, check connectivity L-L, N-N, E-E.
  3. After check connectivity complete and no short circuit, turn on power supply.

Level Transmitter







SITRANS Probe LU is a 2-wire loop-powered ultrasonic transmitter for level, volume, and flow monitoring of liquids in storage vessels and simple process vessels, as well as in open channels.

The transducer is available as ETFE (ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene) or PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) to suit the chemical conditions of your application. For applications with varying material and process temperatures, the Probe LU incorporates an internal temperature sensor to compensate for temperature changes.

SITRANS Probe LU uses field-proven Sonic Intelligence ® signal processing.

Inside the panel, the right bottom is called as RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), the left bottom is known as CPU.
